Windows Media Player Skins

DESKTIOP- Before transformation

DESKTOP-Vista Tranformed interface

Desktop Screenshot (It’s outstanding)

There is a sidebar called Thoosje sidebar which comes as a bonus with this tranformation pack.It is a very useful sidebar. You have many plugins into this sidebar. You do see the side bar in the above picture.Further, the thumbnails for each minimized window is a cool idea,I just love this transformation pack.

Why wait?just download and experience this tranformation.

I can not forget the past 24 hours in my life.....
It all started when i wanted to partition the drives in my system....

I had a software called norton partition magic.
It can partition the drives without any data loss.
But while partitioning there was some error.
And all my data was lost.
That was ok,As I had my backups stored in dvds.

All went smoothly and i partitioned.
But then came the sad part...

When I restarted my system.
It displayed "NO OS INSTALLED.Press any key to continue".
When i pressed some key, again the same message was displayed.
Then what to do?

I had a recovery drive of my PC...
I inserted it.
It took 6 hours to recover.
Then I installed everything again.

And now my sytem is back to normal :-)

With semester exams approaching,I am little busy.I will get back to my blog works soon....
I am now in a small state of hibernation.
PS:The post has nothing to do with the hibernation in the picture(lol..)

Playing with the words is as interesting as playing with numbers.....
Playing with numbers is sometimes easier than playing with the words.....
I wanted to share my little knowledge on word play with you!!!
The most common word play is an anagram.

An anagram is a type of word play, the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce other words, using all the original letters exactly once.

For example:

Eleven plus two=Twelve plus one
Astronomers=Moon Starers.
Dormitory=Dirty Room

Famous writers used anagrams in their story plot to make them interesting...
JK Rowling(Harry potter series)
Tom Marvolo Riddle=I am Lord Voldemort

And Dan Brown(The Davinci code)
So dark the con of man=Madonna of the Rocks
O Draconian devil, Oh lame saint.=Leonardo da Vinci, The Mona Lisa

used these anagrams in their respective books......

Then comes the pangram.

A pangram , is a sentence which uses every letter of the alphabet at least once. (All letters from A to Z are present atleat once).

For example,
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs.

They are interesting only when they are small and funny!!!!
And if you are a regular reader of my posts, you must have noticed that
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog,is a bug in the microsoft word.
When you type "=rand (200, 99)"and press enter you will see this pangram typed continously, for more than 100 pages!!!!!!.

Next I would like to introduce lipograms to you.

It is the opposite of pangram.
A lipogram is a kind of constrained writing of writing paragraphs or longer works in which a particular letter or group of letters is missing, usually a common vowel, the most common in English being e. A lipogram author avoiding e then only uses the 25 remaining letters of the alphabet.

For example,

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out! Try to do so without any coaching!

It is interesting only when you construct lipograms avoiding the vowels.(A,E,I,O,U).
Writing a lipogram is an easy task for uncommon letters like Z, J, or X, but it is much more difficult for common letters like E.
Well-written lipograms are rare, providing a challenge to writers seeking challenges.

Now this is the last word play i would like to mention, the Letter bank.
This is my most favourite wordplay!!!
A letter bank is a type of anagram where all the letters of one word (the "bank") can be used as many times as desired (minimum of once each) to make a new word or phrase.

For example,
IMPS is a bank of MISSISSIPPI,

Are you interested in wordplay?
Well,why wait?
start playing then..........

To be honest....
I am not an expert in ambigrams....i just know what they are....

I found them to be interesting make a post out of them...

Ambigrams are infact more interesting than anagrams....

Now,What is an ambigram? An ambigram is a graphical figure that spells out a word not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation. The text can also consist of a few words, and the the text spelled out in the other direction or orientation is often the same, but can also be a different text.

There are many type of ambigrams.Of which i have listed out few.....

A design that presents several instances of words when rotated through a fixed angle. This is usually 180 degrees, but rotational ambigrams of other angles exist, for example 90 or 45 degrees. The word spelled out from the alternative direction(s) is often the same, but may be a different word to the initially presented form. A simple example is the lower-case abbreviation for "Down", dn, which looks like the lower-case word up when rotated 180 degrees.

A design that can be read when reflected in a mirror, usually as the same word or phrase both ways. Ambigrams that form different words when viewed in the mirror are also known as glass door ambigrams, because they can be printed on a glass door to be read differently when entering or exiting.

A design in which the spaces between the letters of one word form another word

A version of space-filling ambigrams where the tiled word branches from itself and then shrinks in a self-similar manner, forming a fractal. See fractal of the word TREE as an animated example.

A design where an object is presented that will appear to read several letters or words when viewed from different angles.

7.Perceptual shift
A design with no symmetry but can be read as two different words depending on how the curves of the letters are interpreted.

A natural ambigram is a word that possesses one or more of the above symmetries when written in its natural state, requiring no typographic styling. For example, the words "dollop" and "suns" are natural rotational ambigrams. The word "bud" forms a natural mirror ambigram when reflected over a vertical axis. The words "CHOICE" and "OXIDE", in all capitals, form a natural mirror ambigram when reflected over a horizontal axis. The word "TOOTH", in all capitals, forms a natural mirror ambigram when its letters are stacked vertically and reflected over a vertical axis.

This is an ambigram in Dan Brown's novel Angels and demons designed by John Langdon

After this book's publication, awareness on ambigrams has increased.

Hope you find the ambigrams as interesting as I found them...

But beware!!!!once you start designing anagrams you become addicted to them.....

This particular joke won an award for the best joke in a competition organized in Britain and this joke was sent by an Indian......

An MBA and an Engineer go on a camping trip, set up their tent, and fall asleep.

Some hours later, the Engineer wakes his MBA friend.

"Look up at the sky and tell me what you see

The MBA replies, "I see millions of stars."

The Engineer asks "What does that tell you?"

The MBA ponders for a minute: "

Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.

Astrologically , it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise , it appears to be approximately a quarter past three.

Theologically , it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant.

Meteorologically , it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?" The Engineer friend is silent for a moment, and then speaks.

" tells me that someone has stolen our tent".

Well I see this joke in a different perspective....

An MBA finds all possible answers for a solution...

An engineer finds the best possible answer for a solution....

I am proud to be an engineering student :-)

See it as a joke....I am not offending any MBA out there....

This is a true story.

A White woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a Black man.

Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess.

"Madam, what is the matter," the Hostess asked.

"You obviously do not see it then?" she responded.

"You placed me next to a Black man.I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group.Give me an alternative seat."

"Be calm please, " the Hostess replied.

"Almost all the places on this flight are taken.I will go to see if another seat is available."

The Hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later.

"Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seatsin the Economy class.I spoke to the Captain and he informed me that there no seat in the Business class. All the same, we still have one seat in the First class."

Before the woman could say anything, the Hostess continued:"It is not usual for our company to permit someone from the Economy class to sit in the First class. However, given the circumstances, the Captain feels that it would be scandalous to makesomeone sit next to someone so disgusting.

"She turned to the Black guy, and said,"Therefore, Sir,if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage,a seat awaits you in First class."

At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked bywhat they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

Racism is the worst sin......

Support anti-racism!!!!

Actually I got this story as a forward mail, long back.

But the reason for me to post it now is the recently concluded ODI series between India and Australia....

The spectators booing Andrew Symonds with racsist taunts is very uncharacterestic of India....
We Indians are also non-whites.... I am very disappointed with Mumbai and Nagpur crowds...

Symonds a great all rounder(Australian)

Ecstatic Sreeesanth after dismissing Symonds

Mumbai Crowd making monkey taunts against Symonds

These incidents have sparked serious rivalry between India and Australia.

Like the rivalry between England and Australia.....

Like the rivalry between India and Pakistan.....

This is new rivalry in cricket....

But the source for this rivalry being Racism hurts me......

I liked these pencil sketches....
They are excellent artwork.....
with lot of hidden concepts inside them....they are really cool...
I posted it here...So that you can witness the artworks too....

Five cannibals (Man eaters) get appointed as programmers in an IT company. During the welcoming ceremony the boss says: "You're all part of our team now. You can earn good money here, and you can go to the company canteen for something to eat. So don't trouble the other employees".
The cannibals promise not to trouble the other employees.Four weeks later the boss returns and says: "You're all working very hard, and I'm very satisfied with all of you. One of our developers has disappeared however. Do any of you know what happened to her?" The cannibals disown all knowledge of the missing developer.
After the boss left, the leader of the cannibals says to the others: "Which of you idiots ate the developer?"One of the cannibals raises his hand hesitantly, to which the leader of the cannibals says: "You FOOL! For four weeks we've been eating managers, and project managers and no-one has noticed anything, and now YOU ate one developer and it got noticed. So hereafter please don't eat a person who is working."

I don't agree completely with this story...

But it is funny though.....
Read and enjoy!!!!!!!!

Last week my cousin came to my home.He was 4 years old....

He wanted to use with my computer...
I allowed....
When I returned after attending a call.....

I was bewildered.....

This is how my desktop looked :-(

I couldn't find how he managed to change (some) setting. Re-starting Windows didn't help. My friend helped me.

Steps to fix "tilted Windows":

*Right click on the Desktop
*Choose the "Graphics Options" menu
*Choose the "Graphics Properties..." submenu
*In the dialog box, choose the "Rotation" tab
*In the "Rotation Views", choose "Normal" (my cousin somehow managed to change this as "180 Degree"!)
For some reason, my friend was able to make it "Normal" and immediately view the change, I had to re-boot! Anyway, now it is "Normal".

Windows magic

An Indian discovered that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the computer which can be named as "CON". This is something pretty cool...and unbelievable... why this happened!TRY IT NOW ,IT WILL NOT CREATE " CON " FOLDER

For those of you using Windows, do the following:

1.) Open an empty notepad file

2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)

3.) Save it as whatever you want.

4.) Close it, and re-open it just a really weird bug? :-??

This is something pretty cool and neat...and unbelievable... It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself... Open Microsoft Word and type =rand (200, 99) And then press ENTER then see the magic.............

Well as soon as seeing this mail.I wanted that mail'scontent to me in my blog.
It was mailed to me by my friend....
See,smile and think.....

How to win men's Heart???

How to win Women's Heart ???

Does this imply men are cheaper??
No comments....

Well this might be a bit shocking for you...But it is true that antivirus companies make 95% of the virus that hit the computers.

You might be wondering....
Why the hell should the anti virus companies make virus???

By writing viruses themselves they can have a ready-made antidote available in seconds, which can be deployed in exchange for cash and the occasional pat on the back.
It might be a controversial suggestion from me...
Keep in mind that this is only my opinion and this does not nessasarily affect the opinion of anyone else . I think that anti virus companies such as Norton and MaCafee are the ones who develop most of the viruses on the market today. If you think about it, it does make sense because in order to make a good product, you need to make something that wears out or needs to be refilled/recharged. The anti virus companies accomplish this by forcing you to pay every couple of months for updated virus definitions one way or another. If nobody is writting any viruses than they are not making any money so in order to keep business going they either pay someone under the counter to develop them or develop them themselves. Hasn't it ever occured to you why the anti virus companies know exactley what to do to remedy the virus?

Actually there are two types of virus's.
1. In the Zoo - Rarely seen out on the net.
2. In the Wild - The ones we are constantly cleaning.
Read a book quite a while ago about virus's quite an intersting book I must say, the AV companies in fact do have progammers who work stricktly with viruses and from what I can remember of the book the companies AV programmers take a new virus out in the wild and pick it apart to see what makes it tick, they put out defintions to cure them, however they also recreate the viruses with several different possible strains and make definitions for these as well. These are called the in the Zoo viruses, they are ones that never touch the internet. The ones typically in the zoo are the more serious ones, they create these themselves so they can make virus defintions and they are usally variants of the more serious viruses we have here, they just make them more problemsome and serious and create definitions for them. The book was really interesting to read and put my mind at ease about the nature of virus's and how AV's companies deal with creating definitions for them.
So from reading this well written book and from research on the net, I think it works both ways, yes they do create viruses however they never reach the net. Which leaves the question open of weather they release them or not just in order to increase sales. I don't think they have the time nor the manpower to do this as there are plenty of people out there creating these nasty buggers without AV companies creating more and releasing them. They have thier own agenda in their own creations and that is to make more defintions advailable to us out there so we may be protected. I wish i can remember the name of the book, i looked for it and can not find it. I been looking for this book for some time now and haven't been able to find it since august.

Did Neil Armstrong really land on moon??
If you say yes....Then read it......

Issue 1 :
Since the Moon has only one light source, the Sun, the shadows must be in line. But in this cases, it looks as if there are multiple light sources in moon, which is not possible.

Issue 2:
The foreground of many images of the astronauts on the Moon are filled in with light, while the shadows remain absolutely black, again proving that there are multiple light sources.

Issue 3 :

There are no stars in the background from pictures taken on the Moon.

Issue 4 :
In some images, a huge light source can be seen reflected in the astronaut's visors. This has to be a very bright, nearby source. There is no possibility of external light source in moon.

Issue 5:

How could NASA take TV images of the LM ascending on Apollo 15, 16, and 17 if there was no one on the Lunar surface to man the camera?

Issue 6 :

There can't be any pictures taken on the Moon because the film would melt in the 250° temperatures. Any film exposed to 250° would indeed melt at that temperature.

Issue 7 :

The LM engine was very powerful. How come it did not leave a crater below the spacecraft? Why didn't it kick up any dust when it landed?

Issue 8:
The footprints left by the astronauts are proof that the Moon landings are fake. This one is also essentially a two pronged argument. First, the Fox show charged that the LM engine was so powerful that the upper layer of dust should have been blown away around the LM, so there should not be any footprints. Others have charged that the footprints should not be there since in the absence of water as a bonding agent, they should not maintain coherent shapes and sharp outlines.

Issue 9:

There is no dust on LM footpads. -- According to Kaysing and Fox, this is the strongest evidence that the Moon landings are faked. They allege that with the swirling dust from LM descent engine, the foot pads should be covered with dust.

Issue 10 :

The pictures below show that flags are waving. And they never will. The flag was on the airless Moon, just as we all knew.
